About the Clinic
Not what to change, but why it came to be

Jayeonsan Korean Medicine Clinic.

We work with the beauty you already have. Rather than cutting away or adding in, we look to restore the balance your body holds by nature. This is Jayeonsan Korean Medicine Clinic — cosmetic acupuncture without surgery and without injectables.

Two people with the same facial shape, or the same concern, rarely share the same cause. No incisions, no injectables, no medication — we work through acupuncture alone, tracing the muscular and structural reasons behind a concern in order to bring out a line that belongs to you.

Director

Kim Seon-hu, K.M.D.

How many practitioners have spent more than ten years, over 10,000 hours and more than 100,000 needle insertions, working on themselves? Director Kim Seon-hu has located every acupuncture point on his own body, confirming both its effect and its precise position through direct experience.

At the heart of Korean Medicine lies the reading of deficiency and excess — supplementing what is depleted and draining what is in excess, so the body returns to a settled state. An accurate acupuncture point is no larger than a single dot, and its position differs from person to person; locating it takes palpation, and it takes time. That precision cannot be reached by repeating a handful of familiar points.

At Jayeonsan Korean Medicine Clinic

we look to the underlying cause.

01

Precision learned first-hand

Over 10,000 hours and more than 100,000 needle insertions, all on himself — confirming what each acupuncture point does through direct experience.

02

Reading the balance of the whole body

Rather than treating a single visible symptom, we read deficiency and excess across the whole body and work to bring it back to a settled state.

03

Precision that begins with locating the point

An accurate acupuncture point is no larger than a single dot. Each point is located by palpation, guided by tenderness and tissue response, because the position differs from person to person.
